Government allocates UAH 246.4 million to support emergency repair teams that restored energy
The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 246.4 million to support emergency repair teams that restored the power grid in January.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Today, the Government has allocated UAH 246.4 million to support the employees of emergency repair teams who restored the Ukrainian energy sector in January this year. These funds will be used to pay an additional UAH 20,000 to those who are restoring electricity, heat and water to Ukrainians. The money will be transferred to the current bank accounts of the brigades' employees," he said.
Thus, in January, almost 12,500 power engineers who restored the infrastructure after the attacks will receive additional payments of UAH 20,000 each.
Shmyhal noted that all enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services, and Ukrzaliznytsia are involved in the project. Lists of people to be supported are formed by the enterprises themselves and submitted through Diia.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Shmyhal announced financial support for specialists working under fire, in particular, an additional payment of UAH 20,000 in January, February, and March will be given to everyone who is currently eliminating the consequences of russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector.
