AFU conducting active offensive operations on one of Axes - Airborne Assault Forces Command
The Airborne Assault Forces Group is conducting an operation on the Oleksandrivka Axis to prevent the russian occupiers from advancing in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions. This is announced in a statement by the Airborne Assault Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, February 22.
The Ukrainian military is successfully conducting counteroffensive operations and repelling enemy attacks despite the fact that the russian occupiers are using all available human and technical resources. Since the beginning of the operation, the Airborne Assault Forces, together with adjacent units, have regained control over more than 300 sq. km of territory and cleared eight settlements of the enemy.
"The main tasks facing the units of the group are to disrupt the enemy's plans for further advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions, defeat the enemy group of troops and push it beyond the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region," the Command noted.
The final results will be after the end of the active phase of the operation.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, air defense shot down or suppressed 307 targets of the aggressor country of russia, which it launched over Ukraine on the night of February 22.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian military achieved the most significant breakthrough on the front in the last 2.5 years, liberating more than 200 square kilometers of territory.
