Final decision on territories should be made by people of Ukraine - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he doubts the possibility of resolving territorial issues at the level of negotiating teams. According to him, the final decision on a potential peace agreement should be made by the citizens of Ukraine.

The head of state said this in an interview with Piers Morgan.

Direct speech: "I'm not sure that our teams can really decide the question of the land. Of course, it's up to our people in any way. In the end, it's up to our people to accept the peace deal or not, not up to anybody in the world. And it doesn't depend on the strong country or strong leader or not. No, it's up to the Ukrainian people."

The President clarified that the issue of territories could theoretically be brought to the level of negotiations between the three leaders. At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine does not trust vladimir putin and russians in general.

Earlier, Zelenskyy criticized Trump's position on Ukraine's concessions in the negotiations.
