Large-scale power outage occurred in Odesa Region, leaving part of region without electricity and water

On the night of February 14, an emergency occurred on the equipment of one of the energy companies in the Odesa Region, which left critical infrastructure facilities and some household consumers without electricity. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

The power outage affected the city of Chornomorsk, as well as the Kyivskyi, Prymorskyi and Khadzhybeivskyi districts of Odesa. Currently, critical infrastructure has been switched to operation from generators, and water supply and the operation of more than half a thousand Points of Invincibility have been organized in the affected districts.

"Specialists are working on the ground and are doing everything possible to restore electricity to every family as soon as possible. Until the situation stabilizes, critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power using generators," Kiper noted.

Due to the shortage of capacity, water supply was introduced in Chornomorsk on special schedules, and in the districts of Odesa where there is no water supply, the transportation of technical water by special vehicles was organized. To help citizens in the region, 570 Points of Invincibility were deployed, which have already received about 4,000residents over the past 24 hours. Oleh Kiper assured that specialists are doing everything possible to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible.
