Shurma wanted for money laundering and embezzlement

Rostyslav Shurma, former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak, has been put on the wanted list by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) for money laundering and embezzlement.

This is evidenced by data from the search records of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Shurma is 42 years old. He disappeared from the field of view of law enforcement officers on February 12, 2026 in Kyiv.

No preventive measure was applied to him.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in January, the NABU and the SAPO exposed a scheme to embezzle funds for payments under the "green" tariff. Among the nine suspects are the former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and a former member of the Supervisory Board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and his brother, the owner of a network of Ukrainian and foreign companies.

According to NABU, the total amount of losses is UAH 141.3 million.

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to early terminate the powers of Rostyslav Shurma as a member of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. Former Deputy Head of the President's Office Rostyslav Shurma denied the accusations made against him by journalists of the Ukrayinska Pravda publication. The former official noted that he was not hiding from the investigation and had legally left the territory of Ukraine. In November 2021, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Rostyslav Shurma, a member of the Supervisory Board of the state concern Ukroboronprom, as Deputy Head of the President's Office; he is responsible for the economic block of the Office's activities.
