Ukrainian defense forces struck a facility of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the russian occupation forces in the Volgograd Oblast. The attack on the enemy's military infrastructure was confirmed by Ukrainian and open monitoring sources.

According to preliminary data, a warehouse or other logistics element related to the storage of ammunition and material and technical resources of the russian army came under attack. After the attack, a fire was detected on the territory of the facility, as well as a possible detonation of ammunition, which indicates serious losses in the occupiers' stocks.

According to the Governor of the Volgograd Oblast Andrey Bocharov, "in order to ensure the safety of civilians from the threat of detonation during firefighting, the evacuation of the population of the village of Kotluban has been announced and is underway."

Military circles note that such strikes are systematic and aimed at weakening the enemy's logistics. The destruction or damage to the GRAU warehouses complicates the supply of artillery shells, missiles and other types of ammunition to russian units, which directly affects the intensity of shelling at the front.

Such operations in the deep rear of the russian federation also force the russian command to redeploy additional resources to protect military facilities, dispersing forces and weakening the enemy's capabilities in key areas of combat operations.

On the night of February 11, Volgograd suffered a massive drone attack - after a series of explosions, a local oil refinery caught fire.
