US Department of State approves potential sale of spare parts for military equipment to Ukraine
The US Department of State has approved the potential sale of spare parts and auxiliary equipment to Ukraine worth about USD 185 million.
This is stated in a press release posted on the official page of the US Department of War, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that this primarily concerns Class IX spare parts - that is, components for the repair and maintenance of military equipment that Ukraine receives from the US.
The request also includes logistical elements and program support.
The estimated cost of the package is USD 185 million.
"The sale will contribute to the achievement of US foreign policy and national security goals by increasing the security of a partner country that is a force contributing to political stability and the economic agenda in Europe," the document says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the US plans to allocate USD 800 million to Ukraine in 2026–2027.
