Kyiv receives 90 generators from Warsaw community, another 130 donated by Polish volunteers - Klitschko

Kyiv received another 31 generators from the Warsaw city hall and community. In total, the city has already received 90 generators from the Polish capital. This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Kyiv received another 31 generators from the Warsaw city hall and community. The first batch of 59 power sources arrived in the Ukrainian capital last Friday. In total, the city received 90 generators from the Polish capital. Most of them are diesel, with different capacities - from 10 to 64 kW," Vitali Klitschko reported.

The mayor noted that the first batch of generators was immediately taken to the districts of Kyiv where there are problems with the restoration of heat supply.

"The first batch of generators was immediately taken to some districts of Kyiv to power the equipment of houses where there are problems with the restoration of heat supply. Let me remind you that the day before, I appealed to international partners to help Kyiv overcome the emergency situation. And the mayor of Kyiv's sister city, Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, called me himself, offered help, and the Poles promptly sent the equipment. I thank the mayor of Warsaw and our Polish friends for this much-needed assistance in the context of the energy crisis," Vitali Klitschko noted.
