As a result of russian attacks on the energy infrastructure, consumers in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy Regions are without power this morning. This is reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.

"Wherever the security situation currently allows, emergency repair works are underway. Power engineers are doing everything possible to supply power to all consumers as soon as possible," the statement said.

In some regions, emergency blackouts were forced today, which will be canceled as soon as the situation in the power system stabilizes, the power engineers say.

Consumption

Electricity consumption has increased. In the morning of February 2, its level was 7.5% higher than at the same time on the previous working day - on Friday. The reason for the changes is a significant drop in temperature throughout Ukraine, as well as a smaller amount of restrictive measures applied in certain regions.

The consequences of bad weather

Difficult weather conditions (ice and icing of power lines) caused full or partial power outages in 162 settlements in three regions - Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad. Repair crews of the regional power companies are working to restore the damaged lines.
