The death toll from the attack on a passenger train in the Kharkiv Region by the aggressor country russia has increased to six. It was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, January 28.

The prosecutor's office noted that the identification was complicated by the fact that the bodies of the victims were severely mutilated, so it was difficult to determine their exact number at the site of the impact. The found body fragments were sent for forensic examinations, which are currently underway. Experts have established that they belong to six dead people.

"In the future, biological samples will be taken from the close relatives of the victims for molecular genetic (DNA) examinations in order to compare them with the found body fragments and identify the victims," the statement said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 27, russian terrorist forces attacked a passenger train on the Barvinkove-Lviv-Chop route with drones.
