Resort business in Bukovel and Yaremche region: since beginning of year, Tax Service reveals violations worth more than UAH 3 million
Since the beginning of 2026, tax authorities have already recorded violations worth UAH 3.2 million in the resort area of the Yaremche region and at the Bukovel ski resort.
This is stated in the report of the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
62 actual inspections were carried out, 22 unregistered employees were identified
The tax authorities also recorded a hotel that operated without state registration.
During one of the inspections, 184 nicotine-containing liquids (nicobusters) used in electronic cigarettes were seized from illicit trafficking.
During inspections of business entities that declare insignificant amounts of revenue, timekeeping of business operations is applied. This mechanism yields positive results - the volume of revenues through cash registers increases by an average of 20% during the inspection.
Inspections are carried out on weekends with simultaneous timekeeping, in particular in catering establishments at the top of ski lifts and at the intersections of ski slopes.
Despite the late start of the ski season in 2025, revenue in November-December increased by 30% compared to the same period in 2024, to UAH 545.3 million. The total revenue for this period amounted to UAH 1.78 billion compared to UAH 1.24 billion a year earlier.
Such inspections are carried out systematically, taking into account the risks of violating tax laws. In 2025, 214 actual inspections were conducted in the resort area of the Yaremche region and at the Bukovel ski resort. They revealed 472 violations of tax and other laws amounting to UAH 3.4 million.
The following were found:
- 26 unregistered employees,
- 5 cases of entrepreneurial activity without state registration,
- conducting settlement operations without using Settlement Transactions Registrars / Software Recorders of Settlement Operations.
Such control allows increasing business transparency, prevent violations, and ensure legal work in the resort area.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region announced a tender for the development of a project for the construction of a new road to the Bukovel resort with an estimated cost of UAH 6.6 billion.
Bukovel is a popular all-season resort in Ukraine in the Carpathians, the largest ski resort in Eastern Europe with a total length of 58 km of slopes.
The resort is located in the village of Polyanytsia, at the foot of the eponymous Bukovel mountain at an altitude of 920 meters above sea level.
The highest point of the resort is Mt. Dovha - 1,372 meters. The winter season can last from December to April.
