Terrorist country plans to mobilize more than 400,000 military in 2026 - Foreign Intelligence Service
Russia annually replenishes its army with hundreds of thousands of new soldiers, despite significant losses at the front.
The First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Luhovskyi, announced this to reporters in an interview, the text of which is posted on the official portal of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
According to Luhovskyi, russia does not plan to slow down the pace of mobilization and intends to recruit about 409,000 more servicemen in 2026.
According to intelligence, the russian side considers the current model of army recruitment effective due to high financial payments and social benefits for contract soldiers. He noted that about 90% of the people who signed a contract in 2025 were aimed at replenishing losses in existing units.
A separate priority of the russian command is unmanned systems troops. Russia's annual need for such specialists is estimated at almost 80,000 military personnel. Unlike assault units, the emphasis in this area is on the quality of training.
According to Luhovskyi, future drone operators are actively sought among students of technical universities and other educational institutions in russia, attracting them with significant financial incentives.
At the same time, the intelligence reports uneven implementation of mobilization plans in the regions of the russian federation. The Far Eastern, Ural, and Volga federal districts have the best results, while the Central Federal District and the North Caucasus systematically fail to meet their targets.
