Russian missiles hit not only Ukrainians but also negotiating table - Minister Sybiha on russian shelling
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, commenting on russia's massive missile attack on Ukraine on January 24, said that russian dictator vladimir putin cynically ordered the strike just as delegations were in Abu Dhabi to advance the US-backed peace process. As the diplomat wrote on his X page, the missiles hit not only the Ukrainians but also the negotiating table.
The diplomat wrote about this on his page on X.
"Peace efforts? Trilateral meeting in the UAE? Diplomacy? For Ukrainians, this was another night of Russian terror," Sybiha said.
The minister emphasized that the two largest cities - Kyiv and Kharkiv - were shaken by powerful explosions. Dozens of ballistic and air-ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones hit energy facilities and residential areas. According to him, the russian federation continues to wage a genocidal war against the civilian population, committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
"This barbaric attack once again proves that Putin’s place is not at the board of peace, but at the dock of the special tribunal," Sybiha said.
The diplomat also thanked the air defense for its effective work. He also praised the power engineers who are restoring the damaged infrastructure and the partners who are providing additional interceptors and energy equipment to support Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency ealier reported, last night the enemy launched a massive attack on Ukraine, in particular on the capital. At least one person was killed and four others were wounded in the attack in Kyiv.
