There are new power outages in 5 regions due to attacks on energy sector - Ukrenergo

Over the past day, the enemy has attacked the energy infrastructure of several regions. As a result, consumers in the Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions have lost power as of this morning. Ukrenergo reports this.

Emergency restoration work has already begun wherever the security situation allows, say energy experts.

"Due to the difficult situation in the energy system caused by previous shelling, emergency power outages are currently being applied in some regions. The previously published hourly power outage schedules of the regional energy companies are not in effect there. Emergency power outages will be canceled immediately after the situation in the energy system stabilizes. Follow the messages on the pages of your regional energy companies," the message says.

Consumption

Electricity consumption is showing a growing trend. On the morning of January 19, its level was 1.6% higher than at this time of the previous working day - on Friday. The reason for the changes is a decrease in temperature in some regions.

In all regions of Ukraine, the need for economical energy consumption remains throughout the day today.

"Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, transfer energy-intensive processes to night hours - after 11:00 pm. Rational consumption of electricity will contribute to a shorter duration of forced power outages," added the energy experts.
