Due to night attack, there is power outage in Zhytomyr and Kharkiv Regions, emergency power outages are in effect in number of regions

At night, the enemy continued attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, as a result, consumers in the Zhytomyr and Kharkiv Regions were without power in the morning.

This was announced by Ukrenergo on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Emergency restoration work is continuing wherever security conditions currently allow, energy experts report.

"Due to the difficult situation in the energy system caused by the previous shelling, emergency power outages are currently being applied in some regions. Previously published regional energy schedules of hourly power outages are not in effect there. Emergency power outages will be canceled immediately after the situation in the energy system stabilizes," the report says.

It is also reported that due to adverse weather conditions, 7 settlements in еру Kyiv and Chernihiv Regions were completely or partially without electricity in the morning; regional energy brigades are carrying out emergency restoration work.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that, against the backdrop of strikes by the aggressor country of russia and worsening weather conditions, an emergency regime would be introduced in Ukraine's energy sector.
