Zelenskyy appoints Semeniuk as head of NSSMC

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksii Semeniuk as the head of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

This is stated in decree №1019/2025 of December 31, 2025, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Oleksii Semeniuk has many years of management and entrepreneurial experience in the financial and real sectors of the economy. He held senior positions in the banking sector, after which he focused on developing his own business projects in the manufacturing industry. He has experience in setting up and managing companies, as well as practical expertise in finance and corporate governance.

The new head of the commission named the key tasks of the new chairman as ensuring the continuous operation of the regulator under martial law, transparency of regulatory decisions, investor protection and harmonization of approaches to regulating capital markets with European standards.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 31, 2025, Vododymyr Zelenskyy dismissed the head of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission Ruslan Magomedov.

Ruslan Magomedov was appointed as the head of the NSSMC in February 2021.

His term of office expired in 2027
