In occupied Mariupol, russians do not pay residents promised compensation for destroyed housing - Center for Countering Disinformation
New stories continue to emerge in occupied Mariupol of local residents who have not received compensation from the aggressor country russia for their destroyed housing. It was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.
"In particular, the story of a resident of Mariupol who lost her apartment in 2022 became public. The Russians demolished her house, but refused to provide compensatory housing because they "lost the documents." Now they are also trying to evict her from her friend's apartment under the pretext of "mismanagement," the statement said.
It is noted that the occupiers are building up Mariupol with mortgage complexes for visitors from the russian federation, but there are no apartments for locals in this "reconstruction". At the same time, people who dare to speak publicly about the problem face pressure and threats.
"Mariupol has become a showcase for Putin's 'restoration', but it's all just a backdrop for propaganda and official reports. The occupiers continue to cynically talk about how they "care about the residents of the Donbas," but in reality, the policy of population replacement continues - local people are thrown out into the street without any remorse," the Center for Countering Disinformation added.
As a reminder, according to the National Resistance Center, occupants are seizing real estate rebuilt by business in Mariupol.
