Russia massively attacks Odesa and region with strike drones, city lost power and water

On the night of Wednesday, December 31, russian occupation forces carried out a massive attack with strike drones on Odesa and the Odesa Region. As a result of the shelling, serious destruction and disruptions in the work of utility services were recorded in the city and region. This was reported by the Odesa City Military Administration.

According to preliminary information, enemy drones targeted civilian and logistics facilities.

A direct hit of a drone into a residential high-rise building was recorded. Information about the victims is currently being clarified. A large-scale fire also broke out in the warehouses of one of the logistics companies. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.

The attack caused a critical situation with the infrastructure. The head of the Odesa City Military Administration reported that there is no electricity, water, and heating in part of the city.

"Odesa and the region are under enemy drone attacks. Stay in shelters until the air alert is lifted," the Odesa Regional Military Administration stressed.

Local residents also report power outages within the region. Work is currently underway to localize the effects of the strikes and restore power to critical facilities.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the russian federation attacked the port and industrial infrastructure of the Odesa Region at night, killing one person.
