The situation in Ukraine's power system will depend on possible attacks by the aggressor country russia and the air temperature, so the usual schedules of hourly power outages are likely to be in effect on New Year's Eve. The head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate of Ukraine Anatolii Zamulko has stated this, RBC-Ukraine reported on Tuesday, December 30.

Zamulko noted that power engineers will be able to increase electricity supply at night depending on the security situation. According to him, final decisions will be made in accordance with the actions of the aggressor.

"We do not know how the enemy will act from Wednesday to Thursday. And if we come to the usual projected schedules of restrictions, this will probably be a fairly correct question and the right decision for today," said the head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate.

The situation in the power system remains vulnerable due to the drop in temperature and in case of russian shelling of the energy sector, Zamulko emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of December 30, about 9,000 families in Vyshhorod, Kyiv Region, are still without electricity.

Also, on the Left Bank of Kyiv, in particular in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi Districts, there are currently emergency power outages.

Recall that on December 29, acting acting Energy Minister Artem Nekrasov said that in the event of a complete cessation of russian strikes on the energy infrastructure, Ukraine would need about two months to return to stable operation of the power system without blackouts.
