As of the morning of December 29, 215 settlements were completely or partially cut off from electricity due to strong winds and sleet. Repair crews of regional power companies are already working in all regions affected by the weather. Ukrenergo reports this.

In addition, due to the difficult situation in the power system, emergency power outages have been introduced in some regions. In particular, in the Sumy Region, Poltava Region and Kharkiv Region.

Liquidation of the consequences of a massive attack on power facilities in Kyiv and the region is also underway. As of this morning, about 9,000 customers in the Kyiv Region are still without power. Emergency repair works are ongoing around the clock.

"In the regions where hourly rolling blackouts are currently in effect, there is still a need for economical energy consumption. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes to the night hours after 11 p.m. Saving electricity will help to reduce the duration of forced blackouts," the power engineers added

As a reminder, due to bad weather in Prykarpattia, traffic on the P-24 highway was hampered, rescuers were rescuing people from snow drifts.
