Chef of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas, emphasizing the unifying role of this holiday.

He noted that for the twelfth year in a row Ukraine has been celebrating Christmas in the context of the war against russia.

"For many Ukrainian families, this means that someone will be sorely missed at the holiday table. Those who are destroying Moscow's evil right this minute - holding the front line so that the darkness that devours life itself does not advance further. Those who care about the purity of the sky so that the Christmas star can be seen. Those who are saving someone right this minute - calming, anesthetizing, operating, stitching up wounds. Those who are waiting in captivity to return to their native Ukraine. Those whose will and duty overcame fear - and they, with God and Ukraine in their hearts, served good justice in the battle against the Russian occupiers and returned from the battles on a shield," the Chef of the Defense Intelligence said.

He emphasized that on Christmas it is important to remember that we, Ukrainians, are a big family. We have no other home but Ukraine. Humanity is our national trait.

"Our traditions, language and culture, our land are the most precious to us. That is why we have chosen the path of fighting for our own and for our people. We have to stand up for each other, support our loved ones, be responsible citizens, and ward off despondency. Then we will be able to overcome everything. Christmas is a symbol of love and hope for a brighter future, a sign of the cyclical movement of goodness, which always triumphs over darkness. And so it will be! Merry Christmas, Ukrainians! Christ is born! Let us glorify Him!" greeted Budanov.
