SSU hits russian equipment worth hundreds of millions of dollars at Belbek airfield
On the night of Thursday, December 18, long-range drones of the SSU Alpha Special Operations Center successfully practiced on russian air defense components at the Belbek military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This is said in a statement by the Security Service of Ukraine.
So, it is reported that as a result of targeted hits of Ukrainian drones, the following was hit:
• two "Nebo-SVU" long-range radar detection systems (the price of one is about USD 60-100 million);
• the 92N6 radar, which is a component of the S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft missile system (the estimated price for the domestic market is USD 30 million, the export price is USD 60 million);
• the Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile system (the estimated price for the domestic market is USD 12 million, the export price is USD 19 million);
• a MiG-31 aircraft with full ammunition (the estimated price is USD 30-50 million, depending on the configuration and armament).
"The SSU continues to work effectively to destroy air defense systems in Crimea, which cover important military and logistics facilities of the occupiers. The elimination of the components of this echeloned system significantly weakens the enemy's defense and military capabilities on the Crimean direction," the special service emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of December 18, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a number of objects of the aggressor state of russia. In particular, two warehouses with UAVs and fuel and lubricants, as well as the 55Zh6 Nebo-U radar station on the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories were hit.
