Military evacuated the last residents from vicinity of Chasiv Yar
Soldiers of the 24th King Danylo separate mechanized brigade evacuated the last three residents of the village of Stinky, near Chasiv Yar. This was reported by the brigade's press service.
"The photos show three civilians who remained in the village of Stinky near Chasiv Yar until the last. The line of contact is a little more than three kilometers. Constant shelling by the russians and strikes by FPV drones," the report says.
It is noted that the elderly couple (Oleksandr and Halyna) tried to wait out the war at home. When the russians destroyed their house, they moved to live in the basement. Later, the couple was joined by their neighbor Serhii. His house was also destroyed by the occupiers. The man was injured - a fragment of an enemy FPV hit him in the leg. All three residents are over 70 years old.
Oleksandr and Serhii are diabetic. Medicine supplies ran out. When safe evacuation became impossible, the military had to evacuate the civilians.
"Our fighters transported the pensioners to the rear, where they received shelter and assistance. We urge residents of front-line areas not to delay evacuation. The russians don't care who is in front of them - civilians or military. They are destroying everything they can reach," the brigade added.
