On Monday, December 15, Turkish F-16 fighter jets shot down a drone over the Black Sea that had gotten out of control and was approaching the country's airspace.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has reported this.

The ministry noted that combat aircraft were raised after fixing an air target moving towards Turkish airspace. Later it turned out that it was an unmanned aerial vehicle.

"It was determined that the trail was an unmanned aerial vehicle that got out of control; to avoid negative consequences, it was shot down in a safe zone outside of populated areas," the country's Defense Ministry said.
