Russians strike at Odesa Region's energy sector, two substations damaged

Russian occupants have once again struck at the energy infrastructure in the Odesa Region. It was reported by the press service of DTEK.

A DTEK substation was damaged as a result of the attack.

"This is the twentieth substation to suffer significant damage in the region. The facility of another energy company was also hit," the statement said.

Thus, the occupants continue to systematically destroy the energy infrastructure of the region, trying to leave consumers without electricity supply.

So far, 40,000 families have been reconnected through backup schemes. Another 90,000 are temporarily without electricity.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at night, russian occupants conducted drone strikes on power facilities in several regions. As a result, a significant number of consumers in the Odesa and Donetsk Regions have been without power in the morning. There are also local power outages in the Kharkiv Region as a result of the fighting.

According to Prime Minister Svyrydenko, the duration of blackouts is expected to decrease over the weekend.

On the night of Friday, December 12, russian forces launched a drone attack on Odesa, which resulted in damage to critical infrastructure.
