Dismantling of building destroyed by russian missile begun in Ternopil

In Ternopil, work has begun on dismantling an apartment building on Vasylia Stusa Street, which was hit by a missile of the russian occupiers on November 19. The city council reports this.

A fence has been installed around the building, and specialists with special equipment are dismantling the structures.

"The building has been declared unsuitable for restoration. The corresponding decision was made by the executive committee of the Ternopil city council on the basis of an expert opinion and the minutes of the extraordinary meeting of the regional commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies of the Ternopil Region dated November 28, 2025 No. 7. The document confirms the presence of critical damage to the load-bearing structures, which makes the operation of the building impossible," the message says.

It is noted that the decision to dismantle opens up the possibility of accelerated receipt of monetary compensation for residents of the destroyed building within the framework of the state program "eReconstruction". The funds received can be used to purchase a new home.
