Russia launched drones, Kinzhals and Iskanders at Ukraine at night. How air defense system worked?

On the night of Sunday, December 7, the russian occupiers launched a combined attack on Ukraine's critical infrastructure facilities using attack UAVs, air and ground-based missiles. This is stated in a message by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, the Air Forces' radio engineering troops detected and escorted 246 air attack vehicles - 5 ballistic missiles and 241 UAVs of various types. Among them:

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense shot down/suppressed 179 air targets:
