At least 8 people wounded in russia's massive strike on Ukraine - Interior Minister Klymenko
At least 8 people were wounded as a result of a massive russian attack on Ukraine.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko has reported this.
He emphasized that the night was difficult. Russia again hit Ukraine's civilian infrastructure with drones and missiles. 10 regions came under attack. In most of them, according to the official, there were direct hits on residential buildings, energy, and railways.
Ihor Klymenko said that more than two dozen buildings in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Lviv Regions were damaged by the russian attack.
At least 8 people were injured:
- 3 - in the Kyiv Region;
- 3 - in the Dnipropetrovsk Region;
- 2 - in the Lviv Region.
In Fastiv, the occupants destroyed the building of a railway station. In Lutsk, Dnipro and Bila Tserkva, Klymenko added, rescuers are extinguishing thousands of square meters of warehouses with food and medicine. Fires are also being extinguished at energy facilities in the Kyiv and Lviv Regions.
According to him, almost 500 rescuers and about 200 police officers are involved in the work. The police are documenting crimes, collecting evidence, helping people, and checking the areas for dangerous ammunition fragments.
The SESU operates at 24 locations:
- 17 have already been extinguished;
- 7 are still in progress.
Ihor Klymenko also named the most difficult points - large fires in warehouses in Lutsk, Dnipro and Bila Tserkva. Robotic systems and SESU aviation are working there.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of December 6, russians attacked Ukraine using strike UAVs, air, sea and ground-based missiles. In total, the Air Forces' radio engineering troops detected and escorted 704 air attack means - 51 missiles (17 of them were ballistic missiles) and 653 UAVs of various types.
