Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "would not have had his crown fall off his head" if he had asked for a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki while he was transiting through the country to France. Sikorski said this in a conversation on RMF FM on Friday, December 5.

"Insisting on gratitude and respect in a situation where they are fighting for their lives disgusts me, but on the other hand, President Zelenskyy's crown would not have fallen off his head if he had asked to visit the Presidential Palace while passing through Poland. I hope this is not a reason to demonstrate our dislike for a country that is bravely fighting and keeping Putin's troops away from our borders," the Polish Foreign Minister said.

This is how Sikorski commented on why President Nawrocki is not going to Ukraine.

Recall that 2 days ago, the President of Poland recorded a video message in which he demanded gratitude from Ukraine and Zelenskyy personally.

"I demand symmetry in relations with Ukraine and expect President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to express his gratitude to Polish soldiers and the Polish people for the support he receives from our nation," Nawrocki said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 15, President of Poland Karol Nawrocki said that he had signed the law on assistance to Ukrainian refugees for the last time.
