Russia strikes at power facility in Sumy Region, wounds electrician - Energy Ministry
An employee of JSC Sumyoblenergo was injured today, November 28, as a result of a russian drone strike on one of the energy facilities in the Sumy Region. It was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
"A Russian UAV attacked one of the energy facilities in the Sumy region, resulting in the injury of an employee of JSC Sumyoblenergo," the statement said.
The attack by the enemy drone occurred at the moment when the power company's team was working on the territory of the facility. As a result of the attack, an electrician servicing substations was injured. The victim is currently receiving all necessary medical care.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of November 25, russia launched a new large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy facilities. The attack was combined and targeted key elements of the power system, which will require rapid damage assessment and preparation for recovery.
Earlier, in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, russian occupants wounded 5 power engineers, one worker is in critical condition.
It is also reported that the Dnipropetrovsk Region has become the most affected region after the latest russian shelling. As a result of the attacks, more than 60,000 households remain without electricity.
