During shelling of Kyiv, Patriot system worked flawlessly against Iskander-M and Kinzhal - Air Force

Ukraine's air defense system demonstrated impeccable efficiency during today's massive attack, destroying the russian Iskander-M and Kinzhal missiles. This was reported by the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, on the air of a telethon.

According to him, three ballistic missiles flying towards the capital were destroyed.

"We cannot draw conclusions so early, because it requires a thorough investigation. By the way, today three ballistic missiles heading towards the capital were shot down. The Patriot system worked flawlessly today against the Iskander-M. There is also an interception of the Kinzhal," he emphasized.

Last night was "difficult" for the Defense Forces, which worked in a tense mode almost continuously. The enemy used combined tactics of a "two-wave" strike, involving a wide range of weapons.

"Today was a difficult night for the Defense Forces, they worked quite intensely, almost all night. We had missile attacks in two waves, let's say, with the use of aeroballistic missiles, ballistics was also used, and cruise missiles, both sea-based and land-based," Ihnat noted.

He also specified that some of the enemy missiles that were not included in the statistics of those shot down did not reach their targets. According to him, the details of these missiles are currently being clarified, and it is inappropriate to provide additional information to the enemy.

"The commander of the air force noted many who showed good results today, these are unmanned drones today, they also gave good results, manned aviation, especially army aviation, today have good results, military forces, and all the rest who joined, these are electronic warfare and mobile fire groups," Ihnat stated.

Let us recall that on the night of November 25, the russian occupiers carried out a massive attack on Kyiv. It is known about the killed and wounded as a result of the shelling.
