US Vice President Vance names three key conditions for any peace plan for Ukraine
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said that any peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine should contain three key points.
This is said in the text of the official's post on his X.
According to the American vice president, any peace plan must:
1) Stop the killing while preserving Ukrainian sovereignty.
2) Be acceptable to both Russia and Ukraine.
3) Maximize the chances the war doesn't restart.
At the same time, he added that any criticism of the peace framework that the Trump administration is working on either misunderstands this framework or distorts "critical reality on the ground."
Vance also doubted that giving more weapons and money would lead to victory. He is probably referring to aid to Ukraine
"There is a fantasy that if we just give more money, more weapons, or more sanctions, victory is at hand. Peace won't be made by failed diplomats or politicians living in a fantasy land. It might be made by smart people living in the real world," the US Vice President summarized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the other day it became known that the United States has developed a new "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine. It consists of 28 points, and Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff was responsible for its development with the support of russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
