Trump appoints new special representative for Ukraine peace plan: he has already visited Kyiv
US President Donald Trump has appointed US Secretary of the Army Daniel P. Driscoll as his new special representative to promote a peace plan to end the war in Ukraine.
It was reported by The Guardian.
According to the newspaper's sources, a delegation of senior US military officials - a group of US generals - is planning to visit moscow at the end of next week.
The purpose of the trip is to discuss the details of the US peace plan directly with the kremlin representatives.
To promote the peace plan, Trump appointed Driscoll as his new special representative.
It is noted that Driscoll is a friend and former classmate of US Vice President J.D. Vance.
It should be noted that Secretary Driscoll has already visited Kyiv and held talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian News agency has reported this.
