AMCU allows UPG to lease 15 more gas stations from Privat Group and buy 10
At its meeting on November 20, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) allowed Ukrpaletsystem, which is part of the UPG group of businessman Volodymyr Petrenko, to lease 15 more gas stations from Privat Group and buy 10.
This is announced in the AMCU's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
These are assets in the form of 25 single property complexes - gas stations owned by 11 companies (LLCs): Sorella Oil (lease of five gas stations); Tequila Gold (lease of four and purchase of one); Eurotrade Expo (lease of three); Corso Town (lease of two); Vertix-Mall (lease of one); Albiland (purchase of two); Ecotrade Company (purchase of two); Angel Capital (purchase of two); Leader Finance (purchase of one); Jasmi Trade (purchase of one); Newport Holding (purchase of one).
Before the full-scale war, the Privat fuel network was the largest in Ukraine and had over 1,500 gas stations under various brands.
From now on, Ukrpaletsystem has a permit to lease 398 gas stations from the Privat group and owns 10.
The ultimate beneficial owner of most of these LLCs is Yurii Kiperman (born in 1946, Dnipro, father of businessman Mykhailo Kiperman), according to Youcontrol data.
The total number of gas stations managed by UPG is 485 gas stations.
According to Forbes, the UPG network, controlled by Volodymyr Petrenko (official owner - his sister Yulia Vaskovska), ranks fifth among the largest gas station chains in Ukraine in terms of fuel sales, behind OKKO, WOG, Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta.
In 2024, the company's revenue amounted to UAH 38.4 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine at its meeting on November 6 allowed Ukrpaletsystem, which is part of the UPG group of businessman Volodymyr Petrenko, to lease another 34 gas stations from the Privat group.
UPG is fifth in terms of fuel sales in Ukraine after OKKO, WOG, Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta.
