Ex-Vice Prime Minister Chernyshov served with request for detention - law enforcement agencies
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutors Office (SAPO) served former Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov with a request for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
This is stated in the message of the relevant services of law enforcement agencies on their official pages in social networks.
"According to the investigation, the former official was among the visitors of the so-called "laundry" - a place where funds obtained by criminal means were legalized. This facility was under the control of the head of the criminal organization, exposed by NABU and SAPO the day before," NABU emphasized.
They also added that detectives documented the transfer of more than USD 1.2 million and almost EUR 100,000 in cash to the suspect and his proxy.
Qualification: Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The detectives also recalled that the former employee is already suspected by the NABU and the SAPO of abuse of office and obtaining illegal benefits in a particularly large amount.
