Zelenskyy tells Aliyev about damaged building of Azerbaijani embassy due to russian attack
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke about the damaged building of the Azerbaijani embassy due to the russian attack.
Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I spoke with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Thank you for the support and sympathy for our people. Hundreds of drones, missiles, including ballistics, were used by the Russians against Ukrainians that night. Unfortunately, there is destruction and damage, the Embassy of Azerbaijan was also damaged. Mr. President condemned this strike and emphasized that this is not the first time that the Russians have targeted both the Embassy building and other facilities related to Azerbaijan," he said.
Zelenskyy added that they also talked about bilateral relations and the development of partnership.
"There is indeed a green light in all areas of bilateral cooperation. There is good potential, and we will implement it," the President noted.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy previously reported that the Azerbaijani embassy building was damaged as a result of the russian night attack on Kyiv.
