Total number of combat clashes on russian-Ukrainian front reaches 116 since beginning of day - AFU General Staff

Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the russian invaders' offensive. At the moment, the total number of combat engagements is 116.

This is said in the text of the daily update of the command of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

Today, the communities of the settlements of Huta-Studenetska, Senkivka on the Chernihiv Region; Khliborob, Bachivsk, Novovasylivka on the Sumy Region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

On the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten enemy attacks, and another clash is ongoing. The invaders' aviation carried out eight strikes, dropping 14 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy carried out 90 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.

On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, the Defense Forces stopped nine enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Tykhe and towards the settlements of Dvorichanske and Kolodiazne, and five more clashes are ongoing.

On the Kupiansk axis, the Defense Forces repelled four out of five enemy attacks in the direction of Petropavlivka and Pishchane. The fighting continues.

On the Lyman axis, the invading army launched two attacks on Ukrainian positions on the area of ​​the settlement of Derylove and in the direction of Korovyn Yar, and the fighting continues.

On the Sloviansk axis, the russians tried ten times to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Yampil, Serebrianka, Dronivka, and Fedorivka. The Defense Forces stopped eight enemy attacks, and two clashes are ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk axis, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the area of ​​Zaliznianske.

On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy tried eight times to penetrate our defenses near Yablunivka, Shcherbynivka, and in the direction of Sofiivka.

On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the russian occupiers have made 57 attempts to push our soldiers from the occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Fedorivka, Nykanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zelene, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Kotliarivka, Horikhove and Filiia. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have already repelled 52 attacks.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, the Ukrainian defenders have stopped five assault actions by enemy troops. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Orestopil, Pryvillia and Krasnohirske. Velykomykhailivka was hit by an airstrike.

On the Huliaipole axis, four clashes took place in the areas of the settlements of Uspenivka and Novouspenivske.

On the Orikhiv axis, since the beginning of the day, there has been one attack by enemy units - the occupiers tried to advance in the area of Plavni. Enemy aircraft struck Orikhiv.

On the Dnieper axis, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to attack.
