Explosion occurred at petrochemical plant in russia's Bashkortostan, before which unmanned threat was declared
As a result of a night attack on November 4 on the russian city of Sterlitamak, an explosion occurred in a workshop of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant, causing a fire and partial collapse. It was reported by the Telegram channel Astra.
"Preliminarily, this video shows a center of fire either on railroad tanks on the tracks or a tank a little to the north. At the same time, according to local residents, there are several centers of fire at the plant," the channel notes.
Local residents recorded at least two powerful explosions: they occurred at 6:22 a.m. and 7:09 a.m. local time.
The head of the Bashkortostan Republic, Radiy Khabirov, confirmed the information about the damage to the petrochemical plant in the region.
"Sterlitamak's industrial complex was subjected to a terrorist attack by two UAVs. Both drones were shot down by the Ministry of Defense and the company's security service. The wreckage fell in the industrial zone near the auxiliary shop. No one was killed or injured, the company is operating normally," Khabirov wrote at 6:03 a.m.
The Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant JSC is an enterprise specializing in the production of rubbers, ionol and aviation gasoline. It is part of the russian chemical holding Roskhim.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of November 1, the Defense Forces inflicted a fire damage on the infrastructure of the RN-Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor country of the russian federation.
In addition, on the night of October 31, in the russian city of Oryol, drones attacked a local thermal power plant. The incident was reported by local publics and later confirmed by the Governor of the Oryol Oblast, Andrey Klychkov.
