Zelenskyy increases number of NSDC Staff to 252

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has increased the number of employees of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) by 15 people to 252. This is stated in Decree No. 816 of November 3, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"To approve the maximum number of employees of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in the amount of 252 full-time units," the decree says.

Zelenskyy also approved the updated structure of the NSDC Secretariat by this decree.

At the same time, he invalidated Decree No. 76 of February 26, 2021, which approved the maximum number of employees of the NSDC Staff in the amount of 237 full-time units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 18, Zelenskyy appointed former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) instead of Oleksandr Lytvynenko.

The state budget for 2025 envisages spending UAH 328.5 million on the NSDC.

The draft state budget for 2026 envisages an increase in spending on the NSDC to UAH 337.6 million.
