Ukraine receives Patriot systems from Germany - Zelenskyy
Ukraine received air defense systems, which Germany and Chancellor Friedrich Merz personally promised. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Facebook page on Sunday, November 2.
"We have strengthened the "Patriot" component in our Ukrainian air defense. I thank Germany and personally Chancellor Friedrich Merz for this joint step of ours to protect lives from russian terror. We have been preparing this strengthening of air defense for some time, and now the agreements reached have been implemented. Thanks to everyone who helped!" Zelenskyy wrote.
The President emphasized that russian dictator vladimir putin is terrorizing Ukraine from the sky because he cannot achieve his goals on the ground. According to him, work continues on building a reliable air defense system. Negotiations on further joint steps to strengthen air defense are ongoing both at the government level and directly with the manufacturers of the necessary systems, Zelenskyy emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the aggressor country of russia launched almost 1,500 strike drones, 1,170 surface-to-air missiles, and over 70 missiles over Ukraine in a week.
