Heating season in Ukraine officially begins on October 28 - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the heating season in Ukraine will begin on October 28.

The head said this during a conversation with journalists on October 27, Ukrinform reports.

"Heating of social institutions in some communities has already begun, but officially heating should begin on the 28th, starting tomorrow," the President said.

In addition, according to Zelenskyy, restoration work on critical infrastructure facilities damaged by russian shelling is being resumed.

We will remind, on October 21, Ukrenergo announced its intention to begin supplying heat to Ukrainian homes within 10 days.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that the heating season starts by decision of local authorities when the average daily temperature remains at +8°C and below for three days.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine changed the dates of the beginning and end of the heating season.

On October 3, Svyrydenko stated that the aggressor country of russia intends to disrupt the heating season by striking at gas production infrastructure.
