North Korea to build memorial dedicated to soldiers killed in war against Ukraine
North Korea will build a memorial dedicated to servicemen of the DPRK army who were killed in foreign military operations, including the war against Ukraine.
The North Korean newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported this today, October 24.
The publication writes that DPRK leader Kim Jong Un initiated the construction of the Memorial Museum of Military Deeds, which "will pass on to descendants the noble spirit of self-sacrifice and the legendary military exploits of brave soldiers."
Yesterday, October 23, a memorial laying ceremony was held in one of the districts of Pyongyang. It was attended by Kim Jongu N, North Korean military personnel and the ambassador of the aggressor country of russia to the DPRK, Aleksandr Matsegora.
The party newspaper calls the construction of the memorial "a vivid expression of boundless gratitude and noble moral duty of the party, state and people to the brave soldiers." This is supposedly an "important political event."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in late August, dictator Kim Jong Un arranged an award ceremony for North Korean soldiers who fought against Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.
In June, photos and videos were shown in Pyongyang with Kim Jong Un "mourning" the bodies of North Korean soldiers who were killed in the war against Ukraine.
As we recall, in April, South Korean intelligence reported that about 600 soldiers of the North Korean army were killed in the battles against Ukraine. Their bodies were cremated before being sent home.
