In Mariupol, housing has begun to be seized even from owners with residence permit - Andriuschenko

In temporarily occupied Mariupol, the actual eviction of residents from their own apartments has begun under the pretext of decisions of the so-called "courts" on "recognizing as ownerless" apartments in which people have lived for years. This was reported by the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, Petro Andriuschenko, in Telegram.

"In Mariupol, people have begun to be thrown out of their apartments. Literally. The "courts" made the decision to "recognize as ownerless" apartments No. 2, 19, 20 and 33 in the building at 133, Myru Avenue (Lenin) back in 2024," Andriuschenko wrote.

He explained that the occupation authorities are using formal grounds, in particular, the lack of entries in the russian register or long queues at "notaries".

"Some did not have time to enter the ownership right into the russian register, some could not compete, and some did not have time to formalize the inheritance due to artificial queues at the occupation "notaries". Now people, even with a residence permit, are simply being kicked out onto the street. This is the first official, but not the first actual case," he noted.

He also reported a similar situation on 10, Chornomorska Street.

"The occupiers are going from house to house and hanging pieces of paper with an "inventory" on the door, even when the owner is at home. People ask why they need to take copies of documents again, if this has already been done in the KSM. There are zero explanations. They do not give the papers in their hands, they simply take pictures on the doors. The second round of farce is officially open," said the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation.

According to Andriushchenko, such actions are "raiding under the banner of the occupation authorities."

"This is a prime example of how the russians are rewriting the city, throwing people out of their homes and legalizing theft through the "courts". A new level of Mariupol's absurdity of genocide," he concluded.

We will remind you that in the destroyed Mariupol, the occupiers are once again building ostentatious "new housing."
