Two people killed in night attack on Kyiv, fires break out in several districts
On the night of October 22, Kyiv was subjected to another air attack by russia. As a result of falling debris, fires broke out in various districts of the capital, and two people were killed.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Head of Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko.
According to Tymur Tkachenko, in the Dniprovskyi district, debris from a drone hit the 6th floor of a 16-story building, causing a fire. One person was killed, ten more were rescued. In another location in the same district, debris fell into the courtyard of a residential building, and the blast wave damaged windows.
Later, Tkachenko reported a second death as a result of the night attack.
According to Klitschko, in the Desnianskyi district, debris fell on a ten-story residential building, causing a fire. In addition, debris hit a high-rise building in the Pecherskyi district. Rescuers and emergency services are working on the ground, information about the injured is being clarified.
A hit was also recorded in the Darnytskyi district - debris fell on the territory of the enterprise, causing a fire in a two-story building and hangar, as well as in a 17-story residential building, where a fire broke out at the level of 14-15 floors. A woman was injured and is receiving medical care.
In the Pecherskyi district, debris from a missile caused a fire that has already been extinguished. In addition, in the Solomianskyi district, debris fell on the territory of a garage cooperative.
All emergency services continue to work on the ground.
As of 7:20 am, the attack on the capital with drones and cruise missiles continues.
As a reminder, this morning, the russian occupation forces launched two ballistic missiles at the territory of one of the training units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the rear and relatively calm part of our country.
