Interactive map of charging points for EVs created - Energy Ministry

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has created an interactive map of favorable locations for the location of charging stations for EVs.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message states that measures to promote electromobility are defined, in particular, by the National Renewable Energy Action Plan until 2030, the National Energy and Climate Plan, and the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030.

It is noted that when compiling the map, the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 of the European Parliament and of the Council of September 13, 2023 on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure and repealing Directive 2014/94/EU were taken into account.

This tool will help optimize the development of the electric charging infrastructure network, in particular on international highways where there are no charging stations on sections of 40 km or more.

The map was created in cooperation with distribution system operators and electromobility experts and includes data on the most favorable locations, including available capacity, for the deployment of new electric charging complexes or the installation of new charging stations.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, sales of electric vehicles increased by 38% to 51,700 units compared to 2023.
