Russia will not dare to use nuclear weapons, it would be madness - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he does not believe in the possibility of the aggressor country of russia using nuclear weapons, because it would be "madness". He reported this in an interview with Fox News.

Thus, Zelenskyy said that today "it does not matter whether you are a big country with nuclear weapons".

"Starting World War III would be madness. Therefore, we do not even imagine that russia can use nuclear weapons. Because otherwise, you know, we need a new planet. So these are crazy decisions," he noted.

He also called on international partners, in particular the USA, Europe, Canada and Japan, to introduce tariffs or sanctions against russian energy resources, the naval fleet and the banking system.

"Therefore, I think that sanctions and tariffs come first. And if the US imposes all sanctions on russia, first of all on energy, and, of course, on the banking sector, to prevent them from circumventing sanctions, as they always do," Zelenskyy added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the former president of the aggressor country russia, Dmitry Medvedev, stated that after the US strikes on Iran, a number of countries were allegedly ready to provide Tehran with nuclear weapons. This caused public outrage from US President Donald Trump, who called for not using "nuclear rhetoric" so lightly.

In the summer, it was reported that the Swedish publication SVT had obtained new satellite images, according to which russia is modernizing its nuclear bases near Europe - one of them is located 270 km from Sweden.
