The aggressor country russia is trying to prevent communication with the frontline territories, in particular with the Sumy and Chernihiv Regions, by attacking the railway infrastructure. Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, the Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, repored this on Thursday, October 9.

Pertsovskyi emphasized that the russian occupiers continue to attack the railroad. According to him, the aggressor wants to cut off the connection between the regions.

"The enemy continues attacks to cut off communication with the frontline territories, in particular the Sumy and Chernihiv Regions. They strike in order to block the main routes and are also trying to block the backup routes," emphasized Pertsovskyi.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 9, Ukrzaliznytsia organized trains on changed routes in the Sumy Region due to the russian attack.
