Gas price for households and budgetary institutions will be stable throughout winter - Svyrydenko
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko assured that the fixed price for natural gas for households and budgetary institutions will remain unchanged until March 31, 2026. This is indicated in a statement of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The government has extended the imposition of special obligations on natural gas market participants:
"This will allow us to maintain stable tariffs for people throughout the heating season," emphasized Svyrydenko.
The Prime Minister added that the Government is working to ensure stability for Ukrainians this winter, despite new challenges due to the intensification of russian attacks on the energy sector.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in late April, the Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company assured that it would continue to supply gas to Ukrainian families at the same price - UAH 7.96 per cubic meter until April 30, 2026.
Ukraine has pledged to the International Monetary Fund not to impose price caps on natural gas supplied to households.
In early April, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev (Servant of the People faction), said that gas prices for households would remain unchanged until October 1.
Thus, for direct contracts of households with Naftogaz, the price of gas is UAH 7.96 per cubic meter, for heat generating companies - UAH 7.42 per cubic meter.
