Ukrainian farmers harvest over 31.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops

Ukrainian agrarians have harvested more than 31.5 million tons of grains and legumes.

This is said in a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report says that as of October 3, 2025, Ukraine has already harvested 31,548,800 tons of grain crops on an area of 7,213,800 hectares.

65% of the area sown with these crops has been threshed.

In particular: wheat - 22,525,800 tons were harvested on the area of 5,020,300 hectares; barley - 5,330,300 tons were harvested on the area of 1,345,600 hectares; peas - 626,600 thousand tons were harvested on the area of 266,000 hectares, and corn - 2,059,900 tons on the area of 405,400 hectares.

Other grains and legumes were harvested in the amount of 879,600 tons on the area of 315,800 hectares.

Among the leaders, in particular, were: Odesa Region - harvested 3,707,300 tons from the area of 1,115,100 hectares; Vinnytsia Region - harvested 2,426,000 tons from the area of 437,000 hectares; Kirovohrad Region - harvested 2,223,800 tons from the area of 541,300 hectares and Khmelnytskyi Region - harvested 2,182,300 tons from the area of 317,500 hectares.

Oilseeds were harvested: rapeseed - 3,303,200 tons on the area of 1,275,600 hectares; soybeans - 2,231,100 tons on the area of 1,006,200 hectares, and sunflower - 5,535,300 tons on the area of 3,017,800 hectares.

Sugar beet has already been harvested in the amount of 2,415,700 tons on the area of 49,800 hectares.

In general, sunflower was harvested from 58.7% of the planted areas, soybeans - 46%, corn - 10%, sugar beet - 25%.

The harvest of wheat, barley, peas and rapeseed is over.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of September 26, 2025, Ukraine has already harvested 30,423,000 tons of grain crops on an area of 7,213,800 hectares.

For 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grains and legumes, which is the same as in 2024.

The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
