During the Schwarz Ecosystem summit in Berlin, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Volodymyr Klitschko discussed further assistance to Ukraine. The key message of the German Chancellor: peace must return - this is the key to our prosperity, but peace requires strength. Volodymyr Klitschko reported this after meeting with Friedrich Merz.
"An incredible day in Berlin. During the Schwarz Ecosystem summit, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz gave a wonderful speech with a grand vision of a strong Europe, in which Germany plays its role and Ukraine has its rightful place. Peace must return; this is the key to our prosperity. The message is clear: peace requires strength," Volodymyr Klitschko noted.
For his part, the German Chancellor spoke about his meeting with Volodymyr Klitschko and his brother Vitaliy in Kyiv earlier.
"I will never forget how I was in Kyiv with Volodymyr Klitschko and his brother in his office at the city hall: here they were distributing our photo with the caption "Two and a Half Men". I was glad to meet Volodymyr again today on the sidelines of the Schwarz Ecosystem summit in Berlin," Merz wrote on his Instagram.
As previously reported, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, together with Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner, are working on organizing the international investment forum "Berlin Platform", which will raise funds for the restoration of Ukraine. And the German Interior Minister, after meeting with Klitschko, decided to allocate 2 million euros and purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
